Jutta Koska

Instructional Designer

I strive to create engaging curriculum that will bridge the knowledge gap and result in employees working at their highest potential.

First, I consider the needs of the organization and establish concise objectives to address specific knowledge and skill gaps. I choose the modality that suites the organization best and will result in efficient use of time.

Moving on to the design phase, I create Design Documents with details about content, audience, modality, and seat time and develop storyboards for eLearning trainings. Through open communication and feedback, I ensure the content decreases the knowledge gap.

During the development phase. i work with Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Google Suite, Microsoft 360, or Loom, to create the strongest training possible. I engage learners but adding triggers, variables, layers, accordions, scenarios, as well as in program knowledge checks for clarity. I make sure all activities and assessments are aligned with the learning objectives.

With experience in leading In-person and virtual trainings, I can lead the trainings or create scripts and presentation material for others. To support implementation and evaluation, I keep open communication between all stakeholders and update trainings as needed. Ultimately, the training should efficiently change learner behavior, resulting in higher levels of success for the organization.

With a background in Teaching, Environmental Education and a Master’s degree in Environmental Education, I have a unique viewpoints when it come to teaching and learning. Outside of corporate instructional design work, I collaborating Richmond Animal League (RAL), an organization I have been fostering cats and kittens. Within RAL, our goal is to establish standardized training modules in Articulate Rise for foster volunteers for certain procedures such as feeding, disinfection, and basic handling.

My foundation in Instructional Design was established during my time at the Applied Instructional Design Academy. I've leveraged this foundation to expand my expertise while actively engaged in instructional design projects. Along the way, I've earned the following badges, each representing specific skills I acquired.
